In 1998 I left my full time job to attend Bethany College of Missions and then began working with Dove International. I am a graduate of Minnesota State University-Mankato and have received a Masters degree and Ph.D. from International Seminary. I completed a one year missions program at Bethany College of missions and completed YWAM Chico's CDTS program in 2003. I serve as vice-president of Dove International while serving as Base Director of YWAM Antigua, Guatemala

Guatemala was freed of Spanish colonial rule in 1821. During the second half of the 20th century, it experienced a variety of military and civilian governments as well as a 36-year guerrilla war.

Ministry Goals

We are in need of more staff to help us with our ministries at the base. We are looking for YWAMers who would like to help with our next DTS in July as well as people to help with our Kids ministry program and we need a cook. If you are interested in any of these opportunities please contact me immediately.

Current Activity

Our DTS began July 25 with 7 students: 4 from Guatemala and 3 from the USA. We have 4 languages represented in our group: English, Spanish,Tzutujil, and Mam. In addition to the DTS we continue to conduct our worship service in English each Monday evening and we are hosting visiting teams at the base. Personal blog:YWAM Antigua Blog:Bruce Ahlberg Website

Prayer Requests

1. Fruitful ministry for the teams coming to the base. 2. Our ministry will be effective and bring many people to the Lord for salvation. 3. Financial provision for our staff as well as the needs of the base and coffee house ministry 4. God will move powerfully in the lives of the students attending our DTS. 5. Recruitment of students for our next DTS in July 2011. 6. Recruitment of YWAM Staff to help with our ministry.

Special Projects and Events

1.  Discipleship Training School July 25-December 11, 2010
2.  Hosting DTS teams on outreach to Guatemala.
3.  Monthly feeding program in Panabaj.
4.  Kids Club ministry at the base
5.  Monday night worship service in English in Antigua.

Thank you for your prayers of support and financial gifts that have enabled me to do ministry in Guatemala. I am now here full time and look forward to all that God will do in the ministry. Without the support of God's people none of the work that has been established would be possible. May God richly bless your lives for the generous support you have given. It has made a difference in the lives of many people in Guatemala and throughout the world.
