Hi, my name is Megan Pratt! I joined YWAM Minneapolis in September of 2006 as a student and have been a staff member since 2008. Throughout the past two and a half years i've completed the Discipleship Training School, the School of Evangelism, and have been on 4 life changing mission trips.

The defeat of the Russian Empire in World War I led to the seizure of power by the communists and the formation of the USSR. The brutal rule of Josef STALIN (1924-53) strengthened Russian dominance of the Soviet Union at a cost of tens of millions of lives.

Ministry Goals

My goal here at YWAM is to help students seek God's will for their lives through their relationship with Jesus and through missions.  My personal goal is to continue to seek God's calling on my life by being obedient to the challenges He sets before me.  

My long term goal is to pursue my God given passion for helping women & children escape the trap of addictions and human trafficking, particularly in the country of Russia.

Current Activity

I am a part of the YWAM staff assisting in the accounting office, maintenance department, and helping out in other areas as well. I will be taking part in the Mission Adventres program this summer. I was involved with this program last year through hospitality and as a speaker. It was an incredible opportunity to pour Christ's love and commission into the lives of youth! I also volunteer at a Christian organization called 'Healing House' in downtown Minneapolis. This is a place that women trapped in addictions can come to be safe and start a new life through Christ. The program involves rehab & counceling. Their children are also welcome and receive free education at a nearby Christian academy.

Prayer Requests

Praise God for the power of PRAYER!! :)  It would be such a blessing if you could lift me up in prayer regarding:
1) Wisdom and knowledge in discipling students and being a good example of a servant leader.
2) Direction in deciding my role for Mission Adventures this summer & direction in organizing the MA missions trip to Haiti.
3) Discernment regarding future plans in Russia.
4) Finances for the School of Biblical Studies this fall in Arkansas.

Special Projects and Events

This past Septmeber thru November, I had the priviledge of co-leading a group of 5 students to Thailand on an outreach mission.  We partnered with two different ministries that share the same vision of sharing Christ's love to the prostituted women and men in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  The Lord opened my eyes to a whole world of hurting people trapped in human trafficking.  God humbled my previous judgements of people in this lifestyle and helped me understand the reasoning behind it and the redeeming, unconditional love He has for them.

This summer we will kick off another year with the Mission Adventures program and it's going to be awesome!  Our summer is filling up fast with youth groups!  The preparation for this program will begin in the spring.  I can't wait!  I am officially leading a youth group from Washington to do a missions trip to Haiti.  The ministry focus is helping in a village orphanage & school.  

I was accepted to the 'School of Biblical Studies' in Ozark Arkansas.  This school starts the end of September in 2009.  I have a huge desire to learn and understand more of our God breathed Bible!  It is a very intense 9 month school devoted to in depth study of the Bible.
